Task Force 3.1 publishes report on the potential of sustainable crop rotations to produce biomethane feedstock

Brussels, 3rd of April, 2025. The Biomethane Industrial Partnership publishes the study “Sequential & rotational cropping for biomethane: the potential for sustainable crop rotations across Europe.”

The aim of the Task Force 3.1 report is to investigate and highlight how novel and innovative agro-practices based on alternating different crops in the same agro-lands, can lead to multiple benefits for the environment, soil health and biomethane production, without affecting food security.
