Task Force 3.4 publishes report and accompanying factsheet on a methodology to identify sustainable biomethane feedstocks

Brussels, 23rd of October, 2024. At the European Biogas Conference 2024, Task Force 3.4 of the Biomethane Industrial Partnership released a report on a methodology for identifying sustainable biomethane feedstocks. The report launch is accompanied by a factsheet designed to make the report’s key findings easily accessible. Both publications are part of the activities taking place during the European Biomethane Week 2024.

Meeting the EU’s 35 bcm biomethane target requires a significant effort to identify and ensure an adequate supply of sustainable feedstocks. Task Force 3.4 took a deepdive and developed a methodology to identify and select sustainable biomethane feedstocks. The accompanying factsheet provides a visual summary of the report.
