Brussels, 13th of November, 2023. The Support Group of the Biomethane Industrial Partnership elected the new members of the Governing Board representing the value chain for 2024.

In a meeting held today in Brussels, the Support Group of the Biomethane Industrial Partnership elected the new members of the Governing Board from the value chain for the year 2024.

Based on the results of the voting, the new members to the Governing Board are SNAM and TotalEnergies.

SNAM, already a member of the Governing Board in 2023, was re-elected, ensuring a transition and continuity from the previous year. Instead, TotalEnergies will join as the new Governing Board member representing the value chain.

The Governing Board members from the Support Group are instrumental in ensuring the representation of the value chain within the BIP. Collaborating closely with the European Commission, Member States, and the European Biogas Association, the Governing Board is the highest steering body that takes all the strategic decisions that impact the overall functionality and success of the BIP.
